NTUC Income was established in 1970 to provide affordable insurance for workers in Singapore. It is a life, general insurance, and health insurance with a significant share of the Singapore motor insurance market. NTUC Income is a cooperative/mutual insurance company, but the general insurance business is not mutual. As NTUC was established as a social enterprise, their social purpose is “to make insurance accessible, affordable and sustainable for all. NTUC aspires to always place the interests of customers first, saying they are a co-operative where people come before profits.
