Here is a quick summary of the Broken Heart Insurance promotion 2017, which turned out to be quite a hit! Of the 100 people who took out the insurance, there were 60 that fortunately did not need to claim on the day. We hope that this was for the right reason of course and that they had a great day after all! What really struck us is that best friends are a great risk for your relationship. Read about the other findings below.
Not so for the other 40. We have received some really heartbreaking stories, some of which for sure will not be solved by our movie tickets, but nevertheless we hope that they have contributed to their search for happiness. Some of the insured sent us elaborate stories and we hope that for them writing up their stories and feelings has helped them a little to deal with them and that it has aided their acceptance process.
Great Risk For Your Relationship
The most frequent and contentious issues in the stories were money and best friends. For some people, money is very important whereas for others it is not. If 2 people are on different sides of this equation, then romance does often seem to suffer. The other cause for heartbreak is often friends. Particularly “best” friends. These seem to be a big risk to some relationships. We have had quite a few claimants reporting that their partner ran off with their best friend. What was it again that Sun Tzu said about friends? “Keep your enemies close and your friends even closer”. His wisdom is unfortunately still contemporary.
Some people see Valentine’s Day as a commercial gimmick. If you are one of those then understand that although you may be right, your partner may not perceive it that way and ignoring him or her can cause quite a bit of heartache, something you should not want as a loving partner. So we would say “you better buy that couple of movie tickets next year”.
We are still a relatively small company and hope that next year on Valentines Day we will be big and will have the opportunity to run the campaign again bigger and better. Meanwhile, we hope that although love may be fleeting sometimes, all our participants and followers will all find ample of it at the end of the day.
And don’t forget to love us! We hope to see you back soon at Insurance Market when you need to insure something else than your love!
