- Excess Buy up is to increase your excess that you have to bear with each claim in exchange for a premium discount.
- Personal Accident to increase your personal accident sum insured.
- Accessories that cover CNG conversion kit, Hi-Fi Systems, etc.

Premium varies by Type of coverage and Plan and the most affordable coverage of the Third Party due to the major coverage it offers.
You can also enjoy premium saving further by choosing Excess Buy-Up option to increase your excess that you have to bear with each claim in exchange for premium discount and ExcelDrive Workshop to enjoy premium discount up to 20% and warranty for repair.
Sompo premiums are not the cheapest. And premiums will get more expensive if you upgrade to ExcelDrive Gold or Prestige for better benefits.

For drivers who care more about saving money than maximizing benefits, these policies are the best way for you. Depending on the policy you choose, you may also receive benefits such as:
- A full excess waiver on first claim ONLY if done at an authorized workshop – only 50% and capped at $600 for ExcelDrive Focus
- Relatively high transport allowance at $100 for 10 days as compared to a more typical $50 for 5 days – not applicable for ExcelDrive Focus
- Free NCD Protector if your NCD is 30% and above – not applicable for ExcelDrive Focus
- Free Personal Accident Cover up to S$20,000 for Policyholder and S$10,000 for named drivers.
- Free cover for legal liability of passengers.
- Enjoy Loyalty Discount on Renewal.
- Enjoy Discount on multiple cars if you have existing Motor insurance with us.
- 24-hour Emergency Mobile Accident Response Service (MARS): an officer will arrive within 20 minutes to give advice, take photos, a complete statement of the accident, and make E-filing of claims. They even recommend the nearest authorized workshop and arrange a haul.
- Road side assitance is pretty good . Sompo promises to provide you emergency services within 20 mins when you report an accident .
Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience in Singapore
- Not more than 1 claim for the past 3 years
- Total claims not exceeding more than SGD $30,000 for the past 3 years
- Vehicle Age is 15 years or below for Comprehensive, Third Party Fire & Theft and Third Party Cover
Additional Excess
An additional excess (on top of the policy excess) as detailed below shall apply for accidental loss or damage whilst driven by:
- Named Young and/or Inexperienced Drivers or Elderly Drivers – $1,500
- Unnamed Young and/or Inexperienced Drivers or Elderly Drivers – $3,000
- Unnamed All Other Drivers – $500
The terms shall be defined as follows:
- Young Drivers’ shall be defined as drivers (including the Insured) who are below 25 years old.
- Inexperienced Drivers’ shall be defined as drivers (including the Insured) who have less than 2 years of driving experience in Singapore.
- Elderly Drivers’ shall be defined as drivers (including the Insured) who are above 70 years old.
No Claim Discount Protector
It is agreed that the No Claim Discount (NCD) entitlement in this Policy is protected as follows:

. Benefit is not applicable to cases involving the loss of NCD as a result of failure to report or late reporting of accidents as set out under the Policy.

Claims Information
To file a claim successfully with Sompo, you must report the incident within 24 hours, even if there was no damage or you are not making a claim under your own policy. The type of claim you file depends on how you submit it: Third Party or Own Damage (accident or damage) claims are to be filed at an ExcelDrive workshop and loss of use or windscreen claims can be filed by mail or by email (provided below). Similar to other insurers, if you are late in reporting an accident you will receive a 10% penalty on your NCD.
